FOR A BETTER TOMORROW FOR ALL - 25 min (2005)
Elaborating on the Official Development Aid (ODA) from the Government
of Japan provided to Pakistan, the film explored the efforts
JICA, JBIC and Embassy of Japan (EoJ). From providing Polio
Vaccines to building hospitals, construction of tunnels and
Japan Overseas Cooperative Volunteers (JOCV) scheme having junior
and senior volunteers working with and for the people of Pakistan,
the film opens knot by knot of a 50-year long friendship, the
people to people contact of two countries. |

CURRENT ISSUES 12 min (2006)
After the October 8, 2005 earthquake, when everybody responded
to the disaster thinking that food, shelter, clothes and medical
aid are the need of the hour, another force of nature was brewing
up against the survivors. THE COLD! For that everybody gathered
warm clothes, more tents and food. At that time Nazim of Balaktot
Mr.Junaid coined the just right solution and trough a chain
of friend came in contact with just the right people i.e. Electricians
without Borders in France. Their electricians and engineers
collaborated with WAPADA in restoring electricity, provided
connection and electrical heaters in tents of unmanaged camps.
A brief version of the film already edited and shown to press
and media of France, the complete film provide a glimpse of
the efforts of ESF, WAPDA and local administration trying to
restore the disaster ridden area. |
