Our team has extensive experience in television and film production. The team has worked together under the umbrella of many companies. The team members put their efforts in the international award winning productions like “Sohni Dharti” (Beautiful Land Pakistan), which won the silver award at the Sony Festival in Japan and “Taller than the mountains”, which has won multiple awards around the world. Both of these films were produced by Serendip Productions.

Today, keychain films has added more young talented people, who trained and are working under the supervision of our core group of founder team described below. Their capability is evident by our film “Mysterious Kalash” being selected at 6th Kara International Film Festival, appropriate understanding and content handling in our documentaries and excellent technical quality evident from other companies depending on us for filming or post work like Eybex film’s prime broadcast travel series “Mobilink’s Journey through Pakistan”

Furqan Haider Bhatti (Director) has been working as film director since 1998 and has directed more than 100 documentaries and television series. He has worked in Serendip Prodictions Pvt. Ltd, Cinedrome Studios and Montage films from (1998~2004). Since 2004 with the formation of keychain films he has been working as director programs and directs most of the films being produced there and has been picking up camera for his films on and off. During his career he has extensively traveled all over the country and abroad. The subjects remain diversified in nature covering entertainment, training but mostly human & social development. Mr. Bhatti has directed films organizations like UNDP, ILO, AKRSP, Focus Humanitarian Assistance, JICA, PAIMAN, Handicap International, USAID and many more.

He stared still photography in 2007 and has worked on subjects similar to his films i.e. mostly human subjects with development perspectives. Other than that he has done varied subjects including architectural photography for Emaar, Pakistan. “Though technically challenging subject do polish skills but human real life drama has always remained close to my heart”, he says.

Kashif Kamal (Producer) Apart from working at keychain films as producer on all films has been teaching film courses at undergraduate and post graduate level, supervising thesis researches and acting as juror at thesis defense at universities like Riphah International, Fatimah Jinnah Women University, NCA, SZABIST and has conducted workshops for teaching staff and professionals like Engineering Department at Pakistan Television Corporation.

In past has directed ads and worked as animator with HiVision Productions before he joined Serendip Productions in the year 1999 as Film Editor. There he started Serendip’s first postproduction from designing to installation and management, single handedly. He has been part of varied projects at Serendip Productions, extending his knowledge around animation, graphics and management of post-production. He worked as editor on many national and international television and film productions including award winning documentary film “Sohni Dharti”, a historical account of Pakistan from 8000 BC to present day, Unicef’s documentary “Towards a better future” which was presented in UNO’s general assembly in the year 2000, Lead International’s films presented in their international sessions. ). Since 2004 with the formation of keychain films he has been working as Producer and also looking after The Post Production. On and off works on projects as editor like acclaimed Travel series “Mobilink’s Journey through Pakistan” simultaneously aired on multiple TV channels like PTV and Hum TV and more

Saman Nazir (Associate Director) after completing her Bachelors in computer arts she has joined keychain films as production assistant. She has been involved in various projects produced in the company. Moreover she has also directed independent documentaries including ‘Khwab’ and ‘Circle of Fire’. Now she has also completed her masters degree in Population Sciences and is continuing her work with keychain films with an even deeper understanding of human development.

Muhammad Usman Saleem (Director/Script writer) He has done research, script and direction on documentaries for organizations like world bank, Imran khan foundation (IKF), KPK police and Frontier Works Organization (FWO). For IKF and Wapda’s Neelum Jehlum project he handled all the video work for their media campaign. Along with Rizwan Ahmed Bhatti, he has covered the Pakistan team London 2012 Paralympics. His short film ‘Oneness’ secured a 3rd prize out 160 films in a national competition organized by PNCA last year. Recently he has worked with Ayn-Al-Shaheen Films in Qatar on a Reality project based Al-Galayal hunting competition. At keychain films Usman has directed films for RSPN, CARE Foundation, USAID and worked on “Pur Azm Pakistan” for Pakistan Peace Collective.

Usama Khalid (Director / IT Expert) Started as assistant director in 2009 with keychain films, currently Usama is a vital part of our media house. With his creative skills and out of the box ideas, he always has some part to play in every project. Along with that as an expert in the field of computer vision, he is quite innovative in using new technology and creating custom filters and effects for us.

Imrana Farooqui (Script writer) Ms. Imrana has over ten years of experience in research, media and advocacy. She has done short-term assignments with various national and international organizations (NGOs, donors, UN agencies).
Ms. Imrana has been working with keychain films as a researcher and scriptwriter for past eight years. She has done research and script for documentaries of Organizations Like USAID, UNDP, ILO, JICA, PAIMAN, Handicap International, LEAD Pakistan, RAHSTA and many more.

Rizwan Ahmed Bhatti (Senior Cameraman) Rizwan had worked in Serendip production as senior Cameraman for 12 years. His extensive traveling all over Pakistan and International ventures with company projects to the USA, UK, China and India and has filmed award-winning programs for overseas broadcasters, Government and UN agencies.

Rizwan is currently working with keychain films as DOP. His vast experience in Socio development sector is powerful addition to our filming esthetics in projects happening during the last year including film on AKF’s CCSP, several of USAID’s short films, CARE foundation, “Pur Azm Pakistan” for Pakistan Peace Collective and films for Alif Ailaan Project.

Joshua Shaukat (Cameraman) Young and talented Joshua stared his carrier at keychain films as an assistant cameraman in 2009, and turned out to be a an excellent cameraman over the years. He has worked for documentaries of organizations like Lead Pakistan, Handicap International, USAID, ILO, AKPBS, RAHSTA, Adventure Foundation, PIAMAN, RAHSTA and many more.

Waqar Arshad (Film Editor/Animator) Starting as an Assistant Film Editor at Keychain films rose to film editor. He has been co-editing with Kashif Kamal since, on keychain films’ prime productions. He has enhanced his professional skills and knowledge towards NLE Systems Management, Compositing, 3D Animation and Graphics as well. His professional skills are important component of keychain films team.

During course of years he has edited multiple broadcast television series along with most of prime documentary productions at keychain films.

Nisar Ahmad (Film Editor/Animator) Starting as an Assistant Film Editor at Serendip Productions rose to film editor. He has been co editing with Kashif Kamal since, on Serendip’s prime productions. Mr. Ahmad was the main editor on the award winning film “Taller than the mountains”, while working at Serendip Productions. He has enhanced his professional skills and knowledge towards NLE Systems Management, Compositing, 3D Animation and Graphics as well. His professional skills and unique editing and technical experience are an asset to keychain films.
